Tommee Tippee Explora review

I was recently on the hunt for a bowl and spoon that could be filled and packed easy to travel. So I had looked at the Tommee Tippee weaning bowls but, I had planned to go to Lexington so I didn't buy it. But low and behold I get a box in the mail that held 3 Tommee Tippee products (Explora weaning bowl w/ spoon, easi-mat, and truly spill proof water bottle)  and I could not of the life of me remember how it was that I ended up with them. And then it hit me...I wanted to test these products and thanks to Tommee Tippee and Mom Bloggers Club that is exactly what I did and I ended up really liking the Explora line of products.

The Explora Easi-Mat looked pretty cool in concept. I loved the fact it kept Xay from throwing the bowl off of his highchair. He can reach into the bowl for finger foods without the bowl going this way and that. I quickly learned however, that unless it was placed on a damp surface it would not stay well and that Xay could quickly peel it off the table and insert directly into his mouth. I didn't dare give him the opportunity to see how durable it was; if he got bite a piece off. So this $7 product while it is great for finger foods. It also needs to be used with supervision.

The Explora Weaning Bowls with Spoon was nice. The bowl and it's lid were light and spill poof. I like the design is of the bowl and that it has the handle which makes it easier to hold. The bowls are both microwaveable and freezable. It can be used with the Easi-Mat for easy eating. The spoon and I did not get a long one bit. I think that it might be better for a todders hand but it was not easy to grip and did not do well with baby food puree's. Maybe with things that are thicker like mashed potatoes. All together this set of two bowls, one lid, and one spoon will cost you around $5 which for the bowls and lid is fine with me.
Last but not least in the package was by far my favorite product, the Explora Truly Spill Proof Water Bottle.Xay has been using a sippy since he was around 4 1/2 months. He has mastered the training sippy's, and can drink quite well from a regular sippy and water bottle if only his little hands could hold the last two up. But he can't this which shows why this cup is for 18 months and up. But it was great and held true to its name of being truly spill proof. Most sippy cups on the market say they are spill proof but can't hold up to real life. Xadrian has no joke broke 3 of his 5 sippy cups. But I already plan to spend $5 to buy another one when he gets older and will most likely buy the rest of his cups from Tommee Tippee.

All these products are offered at Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us stores and currently now till July 23 babiesrus.com is offering buy one full price Explora product get the second product 50% off.

This was a compensated review.
