Christmas Day

Started off slightly rocky because mom seemed convinced that it was pointless to go down home. She thought that Kelly and Jeremy was to busy to let us see Lexie and Ashley. Of course I being the peacekeeper of the family did damage control and found out mom was just blowing things out of proportion and so by 10:55am we were on the road for the 3 hour drive down home.

We got there about 1:30 and Kelly wasn't yet ready to see us so we went on into town and visited one of moms family friends and one of dads old radio buddies stopped by and seen him. We were there for about 30 minutes when Kelly text me and told me they were on there way home. So I hustle everyone back into the car because we didn't know how long Kelly would stay in one place and went to her house. Now I don't know if I posted but Kelly is about 10weeks pregnant with her third and possibly fourth child. She is getting bigger then a normal 10week person so there is a good chance that she is going to have twins. God help her is all I can say. So Lexie and Ashley tore into their presents and Lexie had a meltdown because she didn't get as many as Ashley but that was because Ashley's birthday was on the 19th (I hate birthdays that are close to Christmas it simply isn't fair for the kids) of December. Anyways overall it went really well and we were off to Aunt Carol's house. So this is the first year since my granny died that we have seen all of Aunt Carol's kids and grandkids in one spot with us. Actually to be exact it has been way most likely over 8 years. But she had her family dinner and there was her two biological sons, their wives, and the 3 grandkids, then there was her adopted son, and then our family. It was really good and Aunt Carol and Uncle Russell are some amazing cooks! They are the only ones who I will eat green beans and broccoli casserole for. Anyways we exchanged gifts I got a crystal dish (which I get every year and am getting a nice collection of) and Xay got a green TY teddy bear. Finally we were on our way back home and we rolled in about 10:30pm. Overall again it was amazing that we all got along. Normally there are huge arguments on the road between my mom and dad but they got along.

So Christmas festivities are not quite over we still have today and tomorrow before we are finally done for the season. This morning we went to Wal-Mart at 6:30am to do Christmas shopping for next year I decided I would get a few gifts for the the girls but I am making baked goods for presents next year. I already got my cookie cutters and sprinkles. I figure it will be cheaper in the long run.

We have to go see Diane and Jack (PJ's aunts/Xay's "grandparents") tonight when PJ gets off work. I will post how that goes either later tonight or tomorrow night because tomorrow I am hopefully going up to see my brothers.

Anyways I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and will be ready for the New Year!!
